IsatPhone Link is a low-cost, fixed, global satellite phone service. It provides essential voice connectivity for those working or living in areas outside of cellular coverage.
It can serve as a village phone for rural communities, a temporary fixed phone for welfare calling, provide remote site offices with voice connectivity or serve as back up to primary communications across a range of market sectors.
IsatPhone Link comes with a range of data capabilities including SMS, short message emailing and GPS look-up-and-send, as well as supporting a data service of up to 20kbps. It is an ideal replacement for legacy Inmarsat voice services such as Mini M and LandPhone, and complements our existing global handheld, IsatPhone Pro.
IsatPhone Link is delivered via the Inmarsat-4 (I-4) network. The I-4s cover all surfaces of the earth, except for the extreme polar regions so you can set up a fixed phone service wherever you are in the world.
A network availability of 99.9% ensures that you can rely on voice connectivity whenever you need it.
Also, the I-4s have an operational life well into the 2020s, a claim that none of Inmarsat's competitors can currently make.
IsatPhone Link is accessed using a choice of two highly robust terminals and an external antenna that have been purpose-built for IsatPhone Link by Beam Communications. The Terra 400 is a low-cost entry product offering simple voice connectivity, while Terra 800 provides an integrated handset, SMS capability and an additional SIM slot for multiple users.
The compact design means that they can be easily transported to remote locations and set up without technical expertise.
