SAILOR® 6150 MINI-C DISTRESS

Maritime

The SAILOR 6150 Mini-C Distress is the most advanced and fully approved Vessel Management System (VMS) and tracking terminal available on the market. In addition to offering comprehensive VMS and tracking functionality, it also provides a Non-SOLAS distress feature, as well as reception of EGC and SafetyNet/FleetNet messages, significantly enhancing the safety of your vessel and crew.

Alerts

The system provides automatic, reliable GMDSS-compliant distress alerts to maritime rescue authorities, ensuring immediate response in emergencies.

GPS

A built-in high-accuracy GPS continuously tracks vessel position, enabling precise location reporting during distress situations.

Robust

Engineered for harsh marine environments, the SAILOR 6150 offers dependable operation in extreme weather and long-duration voyages.

Monitoring

The terminal supports constant communication and safety messaging, ensuring vessels remain in compliance with international maritime safety regulations.

Key Features

Maritime Distress Calling

The SAILOR 6150 Mini-C Distress includes the proven and reliable Inmarsat-C Non-SOLAS maritime distress function. This feature has long been an integral part of maritime safety, similar to GMDSS. No matter where you sail or how rough the sea is, pressing the distress button triggers a high-priority alert that is automatically transmitted to the nearest MRCC. The MRCC will respond with coordinated rescue actions, including EGC SafetyNet messages sent to all nearby vessels so assistance can be provided.

Vessel Monitoring System (VMS)

The SAILOR 6150 Mini-C Distress offers a range of advanced tracking capabilities. With GeoFencing, maritime areas can be divided into geographic zones, allowing operators to define areas of interest with specific reporting intervals and to receive alerts when the vessel exits its designated zone.

Event Reporting

With optional TCU programming for advanced monitoring, up to 14 input/output pins or 7 output pins are available depending on configuration. Events such as power failures, antenna blockage, and other triggers can automatically generate event reports.

Two-way Messaging

With the SAILOR 6150 Mini-C Distress, sending various types of text messages is simple. By connecting a PC to the terminal, users can receive enhanced group calls or send catch reports at any time. Email, fax, SMS, and special messages can also be exchanged with other Inmarsat-C users.

Free Enhanced Group Calls (EGC)

EGC messages can significantly enhance maritime safety. They may include alerts on severe weather, drifting cargo notifications, information on nearby vessels in distress, or general updates from flag state authorities (SafetyNet/FleetNet). Receiving and configuring EGC messages is easy using the free easyMail PC software.
