Key Features

Reliable Global Communication

The Iridium 9555 delivers truly global coverage, backed by the constellation of 66 Iridium low-earth-orbit satellites: voice and SMS communications anywhere on the planet, poles included, an exclusive of this network. At sea, in deserts or in areas with no terrestrial networks, connectivity stays constant for users in critical environments.

Compact, Rugged, and Field-Ready

Built for tough conditions, the Iridium 9555 withstands extreme temperatures, dust and shocks. Its backlit keypad, 200-character illuminated display and straightforward handling make it easy to use in maritime, aviation or expedition settings. Connected to an external antenna and a docking station, it can also be installed as a fixed unit in a vehicle or on board a ship.

Enhanced Communication Features

The handset offers a built-in speakerphone, voicemail, SMS and email messaging and an internal contact directory. Battery life reaches 4 hours of talk time and 30 hours on standby, with flexible charging options from the mains, a car charger or the USB port. Enough to support long missions without interruption, far from any power outlet.

A Complete Pack, Ready to Use

Every Iridium 9555 ships with its battery, a mains charger with an international plug kit, a car charger, an antenna adapter, an auxiliary magnetic antenna with a 1.5-metre cable and a carrying case. Our teams add a SIM card configured on your account: the phone comes out of its case ready to transmit.

Iridium 9555 or 9575 Extreme: Which One to Choose

The 9555 remains the voice and SMS reference in a compact 266 g format. The Iridium Extreme 9575 adds built-in GPS, an SOS button and reinforced certification for the most exposed operations. If your mission calls for on-board geolocation or emergency alerting, the E-SAT assessment will point you to the right handset in the range.
