The device supports standard messaging along with essential features such as automatic wake-up, GPS positioning and location reporting. It allows retention of sleep parameters and offers 12 programmable settings for defining wake and sleep cycles. An alternate reporting format can also be generated depending on operational needs.

Supervisory reports can be scheduled or triggered by alarms or motion detection, ensuring continuous monitoring. GPS location can be transmitted at regular intervals, over a programmed duration, or as long as an alarm remains active. Thanks to its built-in accelerometer, the device automatically sends messages on start/stop events and adjusts reporting intervals during sustained movement.

A theft alert report can be generated based on distance travelled, enhancing asset security and monitoring. To optimize energy consumption, a reduced messaging mode is available while still maintaining the ability to transmit essential data.

The SmartOne Solar supports custom message creation and includes a TTL serial I/O interface for easy integration with passive or intelligent remote sensors. An integrated Bluetooth interface simplifies configuration and firmware updates, ensuring optimal performance and long-term adaptability.
